My name is Basia, which is pronounced like “Bah-Sha.” My journey, like many others, began in my undergraduate years, when I studied Neuroscience at IUPUI and since then I have been fortunate enough to consistently serve roles related to my field of study. My research experience has ranged from cervical cancer, heart failure, and Alzheimer’s disease which have brought me to my current role as a Research Specialist in Dr. Malaz Boustani’s current research--the Delirium and Neuropsychological Recovery among Emergency General Surgery Survivors (DANE)--here at CHIIS. In my near future I hope to seek new adventures that further develop my understanding of neurological diseases, as well as possibly providing me with opportunities for leadership to utilize my four years of experience.
