About Dr. Mikita Fuchita
Dr. Mikita Fuchita is a critical care medicine anesthesiologist at the University of Colorado who is dedicated to enhancing patient outcomes and experiences. As a passionate early-career investigator, Mikita aims to reduce ICU delirium and its harmful effects by improving evidence-based practices for patients requiring mechanical ventilation in the ICU.
Mikita is an alumni member of the Innovation and Implementation Science Graduate Program at Indiana University School of Medicine and is leading the Sedation Off Awake Rehabilitate initiative in the Cardiothoracic ICU at the University of Colorado Hospital, which has made significant progress thanks to funding from the Institute for Healthcare Quality Safety and Efficiency. Dr. Fuchita is set to join the faculty at the University of Colorado in September 2023 as an assistant professor and NIH T32 scholar.
